Ordinance Passed Against Feeding Deer in Woodland Park, Colorado

Woodland Park City Council passed new ordinance 4-3 against feeding deer in City. Fines start at $350 for first offense, $450 for the second offense, and $1000 for the third offense with potential jail time.

Pike National Forest Christmas Tree Permits

It's that time of year again. Time to hike into the Pike National Forest and cut your Christmas tree.  The 2018 dates are November 26 - December 14. You can buy your permits for $20 at the Ranger District Office in Colorado Springs located at 601 S. Weber, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

You can also purchase your permit in Woodland Park at 1408 Rampart Range Road on the way to the cutting site. Those dates are December 1-2 and December 8-9. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

The last day to cut your tree is December 14.
