Are you considering moving to Woodland Park, Colorado? Let me tell you, it's a great place to live! The weather is one of the main reasons why I love living here. It's just about perfect in my opinion. Whenever I leave to visit other places, humid and cold places, I'm left with the feeling of why would I want to live anywhere but here? I refer to Woodland Park as PARADISE. It is truly a healthier lifestyle because of the weather.

Sunshine

According to BestPlaces, Woodland Park averages 245 days of sunshine per year, while the rest of the country averages 205. Some sources even say we get 300+ days of sunshine a year. We get lots of sunshine! Even "cloudy" days have plenty of blue sky.

Summer

The July high is around 78 degrees and not humid at all.

Now, keep in mind that we do live at about 8,500 ft. in elevation, so our weather can change quickly. When the sun goes down, you'll want a jacket, even in July. It can get chilly without our beautiful sun due to the elevation. The cool nights make for great sleeping weather.

Snow

People often assume that we must get a lot of snow. However, we really don't. We get our biggest snows in the spring, but even then, we might get a dump at 15" and the next day it's melting. Remember when you are looking at the weather forecast, the temperatures listed are IN THE SHADE, so since it's typically sunny you can add 15-20 degrees for the "real feel" temperature in the sun. We are about 2 miles closer to the sun than sea level!
