Community History

The land that is now Woodrock was once part of the Stoner Ranch, operated in the early 1900s by Lloyd and Rosina Stoner. In 1913, Stoner partnered with the Dome Rock Gold Mining Company to harvest timber, establishing a sawmill near today’s community entrance. The land changed hands in the 1960s and was developed into the Woodrock subdivision by the Myrick family in the 1970s. Today, there are 49 homes, most occupied full-time.
