Westcreek Lakes is located about 20 minutes north of Woodland Park off Highway 67 North. It is a quiet area with a fishing lake, beaver pond, and Westcreek runs through the area which is surrounded by National Forest.
As a resident here, you have access to a fishing lake which is full of Brown and Rainbow Trout. You may use a non-motorized boat only. Only residents and guests can fish on this lake. If you do want to fish on the lake, you have to join the fishing club. For members that have a residence, is is $85/year. If you are a vacant lot owner, your cost is $300/year and your limit is 40 fish per calendar year.
In the summer, around the 4th of July, a large raft is placed in the center of the lake. This is one of the few private lakes which allows swimming. The water might be chilly, but it doesn't stop the fun! There is also a beaver pond which is the habitat to local beavers and other wildlife, to include moose. Westcreek runs between the lake and pond which has lots of areas for children to wade or run their toy boats down.
Westcreek Lakes is ATV friendly. Just hop on your ATV for a quiet stroll down to the lake with your rod and cooler for a picnic.
This area was affected by the Hayman Fire of 2002 so some of the beauty surrounding the area has been destroyed. On a positive note, this area shouldn't be threatened with future forest fires. Regrowth is happening and much of the beauty is intact around the lake and neighboring homes.
Properties are on septic tanks and most of the properties' water comes from Westcreek Lakes Water District.
Lots that are sold without water will cost $6,000.00 (average) to hook up and get water to the lot. If you have a lot sold with water it will cost $2,500.00 to hook up ($3500.00 has already been paid). Once you are hooked into the water your water is $420 (as of 5/2016) per calendar year (Discount amount is $380 if you pay by January 31st), water can only be used for household use only.
